Christa Daymut Named 2020 Dispatcher of the Year: The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is honored to announce Christa Daymut as the 2020 dispatcher of the year. She was hired in July of 2018 as a full time dispatcher for the communications division bringing 25 years of service with her from United Ambulance Service working as an EMT. These years of experience have proved invaluable to our center and she is a great asset, especially with our emergency medical dispatch program. In the summer of 2020 Christa was able to give instructions to a caller on 9-1-1 on how to perform the Heimlich maneuver on another person that was choking. Undoubtedly this saved the life of the person that was choking. Christa, a lifelong resident of Guernsey County, was able to be hired when the 911 Levy passed in November of 2017.
