Local Husband and Wife Charged in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Investigators from the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office/Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at an East Cambridge Residence in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 4, 2024. This search warrant led to the discovery of bulk amounts of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with items of drug paraphernalia and other evidence that showed significant drug trafficking activity was stemming from the residence.

During the execution of the warrant, Kevin Waller, age 49, and his wife Erika Waller, age 43, both of Cambridge, were taken into custody and have since each been charged with the following felony charges:

– Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (a felony of the third degree)

– Aggravated Possession of Drugs (a felony of the third degree)

– Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (a felony of the second degree)

– Aggravated Possession of Drugs (a felony of the second degree)

– Trafficking in a Fentanyl-Related Compound (a felony of the third degree)

– Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound (a felony of the third degree)

– Tampering with Evidence (a felony of the third degree)

Kevin and Erika Waller are in custody at the Guernsey County Jail, awaiting their bond hearings at the Cambridge Municipal Court.

Sheriff Paden said, “It appears that some people want to continue to challenge my warning that if you sell drugs in Guernsey County, we will aggressively come after you. My response to that is simply, keep playing around and find out!”
