Sheriff Jeffrey Paden announced that deputies from his Road Division responded to the Kilburn Lane area late Friday evening, June 14, 2024, after a caller reported she had located what appeared to be a deceased individual while riding an ATV in a wooded area. The caller also reported she believed the individual to be Mr. John T. Sigman because a truck matching the description of Mr. Sigman’s vehicle was also located on the property.
Deputies responded, and detectives were summoned to the scene by the responding deputies. The County Coroner was also notified and ordered an autopsy to be completed at the Licking County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sheriff Paden said, “ This is not the outcome that anyone wanted, and my condolences go out to Mr. Sigman’s family at this difficult time.”
This case remains under investigation pending the results of the autopsy.
