Search Warrant At Local Hotel Turns Up Suspected Narcotics

On Friday the 7th of May at approximately 2:00 p.m. the CODE Taskforce, comprised of the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Police Department, and the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a local hotel in Cambridge. Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office and Cambridge Police Departments Special Response Team assisted with the execution of this search warrant. The search warrant stems from a narcotic investigation where it is believed suspects were trafficking in drugs out of the hotel room. Detectives located an undetermined amount of suspected narcotics, money, and drug paraphernalia. One female and two males were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Guernsey County Jail. One of the males had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. This incident remains under investigation and the identities of the suspects will be released once formal charges have been filed.
