Traffic Stop Leads to Large Amount of Methamphetamines and Charges

On October 27th, 2023 Deputies and Detectives with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office and Central Ohio Drug Enforcement task force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by Natasha White, age 41 of Senecaville, and Joseph Campbell Jr, age 47 of Byesville, on State Route 313 in Claysville.

A bag of suspected methamphetamines and hypodermic syringes were observed in plain sight in the vehicle and White and Campbell were both removed from the vehicle and detained in handcuffs. A probable cause search of the vehicle netted over 30 grams of Methamphetamines, syringes, and drug paraphernalia.

Campbell and White were transported to the Guernsey County Jail for their involvement in the felony drug operation. Campbell, who also had a felony warrant from an unrelated case, was served his indictment from earlier this year where Campbell was also found to be in possession of drugs.

Campbell and White were both charged with aggravated possession of a controlled substance, felony of the second degree.  Both Campbell and White remain in custody at the Guernsey County Jail, pending their arraignments.

Sheriff Paden would like to thank the community for the influx of narcotics tips that are being sent to investigators and assure that every tip is heard.
