Walter receives prison term for Drug Trafficking and Endangering Children

 

On Friday February 23rd, 2024 the Honorable Judge Daniel Padden of the Guernsey County Common Pleas court issued sentencing on 32-year-old Kenneth R. Walter of Cambridge, OH. The sentencing hearing stems from a drug trafficking investigation in 2023 conducted by the Investigations Division at the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, CODE Task Force, and with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Walter entered a guilty plea to Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs – Felony 2, Trafficking in Cocaine- Felony 2 and Endangering Children a Misdemeanor of the 1st degree. These serious offenses included the seizure of Walter’s residence and over $5,000 in U.S. currency. Walter received a sentenced of 7-9 years in prison for these offenses, and nearly 1.5 years of additional prison time for violating his Post Release Control.

Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden announces that his Investigations Division is committed to not only conducting successful investigations, but to seize the ill-gotten property of those engaged in criminal conduct. The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is focused on providing a safer county for its residents.
