Criminal Interdiction Operation Held with GCSO, CODE and BULK Taskforce

Sheriff Jeffrey Paden announces that on March 16th 2023, Detectives with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office and Detectives with the CODE and BULK taskforce conducted a Criminal Interdiction Operation throughout Guernsey County. During the operation, two traffic stops were conducted that led to the seizure of a significant amount of narcotics. These same narcotics were believed to be transported, to later be trafficked in our community and others alike. Along with the seizure of narcotics, cash and drug paraphernalia; other evidence of drug trafficking was collected from the vehicles. Detectives stated they were able to seize a significant amount of suspected methamphetamines, cocaine, psilocybin and mushrooms in the form of chocolate and marijuana.

Overall, six individuals were placed under arrest and booked into the Guernsey County Jail. The names of these individuals are being withheld until formal charges can be filed or a grand jury returns possible indictments.

Sheriff Paden praises the hard work of his narcotics investigators, who continuously put themselves on the frontline of combatting the drug epidemic sweeping our communities.
