TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG TRAFFICKING ARREST OF CROOKSVILLE WOMAN

 

In the early morning hours of November, 15th, 2023 Detectives from the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division and Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force coordinated a traffic stop and subsequent arrest of a female who had been trafficking drugs within Guernsey County. This was in correlation with an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the course of the traffic stop investigation, suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia items consistent with drug trafficking, and U.S. Currency were seized.

During the traffic stop, Brandy Michelle Smith, age 44, of Crooksville, OH was taken into custody and has since has since been charged by Investigators with Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a Felony of the Third Degree; and Aggravated Possession of a Drugs, a Felony of the Third Degree.

Smith remains in custody at the Guernsey County Jail pending her arraignment.
